Taylor K22e 12-Fret Acoustic Electric Guitar - Shaded Edgeburst

Taylor K22e 12-Fret Acoustic Electric Guitar - Shaded Edgeburst

The compact Grand Concert body is a natural fit with Hawaiian koa, whose vibrant voice is reflected in these guitars' stunning aesthetic details and American craftsmanship. The K22e 12-Fret boasts a back, sides, and top of solid, beautifully grained Hawaiian koa, resulting in a punchy response with a warm, rich midrange, crisp trebles, and surprising low-end warmth.

By utilizing a non-cutaway design, the K22e maintains a classic, symmetrical aesthetic that maximizes the internal air volume of the body. The 12-fret configuration shifts the bridge further into the lower bout, adding a bit of extra midrange heft and projection, while providing a slinkier, more relaxed fretting feel due to the shorter 24-7/8" scale. Koa's natural aging properties mean this guitar will sound better and better with age, opening up with new sweetness and depth over time. Pale maple binding, Spring Vine inlays, and a rich Shaded Edgeburst finish perfectly highlight the organic visual character of the Koa.
