Taylor C412ce B4007 2024 NAMM Custom Acoustic Electric Guitar, Natural
Taylor’s highly anticipated “Top Of the Catch” event presents a rare opportunity to own one of Taylor’s heirloom-quality guitars with once-in-a-lifetime customized appointments. Now an annual tradition, Taylor unveils between 40 and 50 custom models adorned with unique inlays, rosettes, purfling, colors, and tonewood combinations on the eve of the NAMM show. Each model is never to be duplicated, and specifications change each year for a truly unique experience. “Catch” models feature a “C” prefix along with the year and custom specifications built into each model designation, denoting its unique pedigree.
Grand Concert Styling
Based on Taylor’s standard Grand Concert-style body and neck specifications, the C12ce features a compact body with a deeply tapered waist. Its dimensions make it a wieldy and comfortable guitar that’s comfortable to players of all sizes who love it for its fast, clear, and well-detailed response. The 24 7/8” scale neck is on the shorter side of full-length, generating a slinky, easy-to-play feel, and the Venetian-style cutaway provides easy upper register access. Taylor’s state-of-the-art E2 expression system electronics add an even more versatile edge to the delicate but powerful Concert body; plus, the TaylorSense system helps keep you on top of battery life, temperature, and humidity levels.
Unique Catch Event Grand Concert #7 Appointments
From its standout visual presentation to its unique but familiar sonic signature, the Catch C12ce #7 features a masterfully chosen complement of tonewoods that enhance the sonic and visual character of this special edition Grand Concert.
The soundboard is made from specially selected Lutz Spruce--A naturally occurring hybrid of Alaskan White and Sitka. Defined by its fast response, balance, and power, Lutz spruce is often compared with the treasured and rare Adirondack Spruce variety. Combined with Taylor’s V-class bracing, the C12ce delivers exceptional power, definition, and rich overtones without getting unruly. Also known for its light “white” color, the Lutz-Spruce top is finished with Taylor’s high gloss UV finish that protects the soundboard without altering its natural resonant qualities.
Sporting Taylor’s world-famous playability, the C12ce has a super-stable Rock Maple neck with a smooth satin finish and Taylor standard C-shaped neck carve. Adorned with custom diamond and circle “Nations” inlays, the premium Crelicam Ebony is especially notable for its deep, rich hue mixed with natural cream-colored striations. Along with the ‘board and rosette, Crelicam Ebony’s striking looks are employed as body and neck binding, headstock overlay, and reverse side stinger.
Known for its power, player responsiveness, “pale white” color, and magnificent figure, the top is paired with Northwestern “Big Leaf” Maple back sides for focus, added projection, and beauty. Additional visual enhancements on the body include a mother-of-pearl-inlaid Crelicam Ebony Rosette and soundhole binding that beautifully complement the naturally contrasting presentation of this one-time-only special edition.
