Mesa Boogie Mark VII Combo All Tube Amplifier - Indigo Python Vinyl
Descended directly from the original “boutique” high-gain amp that started a revolution, the next-generation Mesa Mark VII definitely boogies. This Indigo Python tolex-covered enclosure with black-and-silver speaker grille is limited to only 100 collector-worthy pieces. Visually and sonically bold, the Mark VII combo packs a startling amount of power within its portable, 1x12” Celestion Black Shadow-equipped semi-open-back enclosure. Using its quartet of 6L6 power tubes, the Mark VII kicks out 90 watts of “full stack” power, and can be tamed down to 45 or 25 watts with the click of a toggle. Additionally, the 6L6 power tubes can be quickly and easily swapped out for a complement of EL34’s, reshaping the amp's voicing from American to UK style, and that’s just the beginning.
The Mark VII provides three independent and extremely flexible channels. Each has its own presence and 3-way EQ, plus the shared master 5-band equalizer. Then you’ve got a three-way voice selector for each channel, giving you 9 preset tonal palates, ranging from crystal clear to screaming filthy. Channel one (clean) includes Clean, Fat. The middle channel takes you into grittier territory, with settings for Fat, Crunch, and a new Mark VII-voiced hard drive. For extremely hot tones that maintain defined note separation, channel 3 is outfitted with screaming Mark VI, Mark IIB, and highly sought-after Mark IIC+ voicing. Additionally, each channel has an independently controllable spring reverb, adjustable at the front panel, and can be engaged/disengaged with the footswitch.
Just like its predecessors, the Mark VII takes pedals through the front end like a champ, and also features a foot-switchable tube-buffered effects loop. The VII is also MIDI-switchable and programmable via Control Change and Program Change messages. For silent recording, a built-in “CabClone” IR with 8 cab simulators, plus third-party IR support, provides limitless virtual cab combinations. Protective cover and 6-button footswitch included.
