40 years have passed since Fender delighted players with vintage reissues, and over 25 years since factory-aged “relics” added an even deeper layer of vintage vibe and feel. Designed with a specific blend of highly desirable 50s and '60s appointments for the guitarist who knows exactly what they want, this custom-designed Strat is an impossible dream come true. For starters, the “60s-era” custom color finish over an early 1956-style 2-piece Ash body is the first of many welcome surprises. Joining the body is a beefy 1954-style U-shaped maple neck (.900” - .990”) sporting a 9.5” radius maple board with 45085 Jescar frets for a vintage feel without sacrificing modern performance. The 8-hole gold anodized ‘guard adds a late 50s vibe, and a trio of hand-wound C.S fat 50s pickups bring a touch of contemporary sizzle to the authentic and desirable big, bright 50 Strat sound.

The Ice-Blue Metallic with matching headstock is stunning and perfectly factory-aged without excessive arm wear and just a touch of belt rash for a clean, authentic, age-appropriate look. The neck features Fender’s heavy-relic “dirty-neck” treatment for a feel that’s “broken in” to a smooth perfection that comes along with decades of faithful service.
