The 2026 Ernie Ball Music Man Jason Richardson Signature guitar collection is here, including this high-performance 8-string “HT” (heat-treated) Cutlas. Featuring bold new finishes and an all-new 8-string hardtail, these guitars pair striking aesthetics with modern, high-performance design. The lightweight alder body is contoured for comfort, with a deep treble-side cutaway that provides easy access to the entire 2-octave range. This new 8-string Signature model features a 5-bolt joint and an extra-slim maple neck for a fast feel, which is roasted and figured for tone, stability, and premium aesthetics. It's capped with a slick, multi-scale 17” radius Ebony board fitted with 24 stainless steel frets. Offered here in player favorite Kokiri Forest green, over a buckeye burl top, that’s breathtaking in any light, and positively pops under stage lights.
This high-performance instrument is fitted with a pair of exclusive John Richardson HT (heat-treated) high-output 16-pole humbuckers. Each pickup can be tapped for single-coil tones using the push-pull tone pot, or pushed into overdrive using the push-pull boost volume pot. A standard 3-way blade keeps pickup selection simple and easy, while you shred the 2.245” 8-string nut, from low E, up to high F#, effortlessly.
