Ernie Ball Music Man 50th Anniversary Stingray Bass - Molten Gold

Ernie Ball Music Man 50th Anniversary Stingray Bass - Molten Gold

Co-founded by Leo Fender in 1976, revitalized by Ernie Ball in 1984, Music Man is now celebrating 50 years of innovation with special limited-edition creations from its extensive catalog of favorites. Among the first Music Man models, the revolutionary “Stingray” bass was a game-changer in ’76 and a classic today.

Limited to just 300 pieces, the 50th-anniversary Stingray makes a bold visual statement, alongside its beautiful sound and feel. Starting with a deeply contoured poplar body, selected for its lightweight and striking grain structure, shines through the semi-translucent Molten Gold finish. Special lighter-weight tuners and bridge contribute to comfort, and high-sheen gold offsets the golden brown body and matching headstock finish.

The neck is crafted from figured maple and roasted for extra stability and a nice dark tint. It’s finished with a thin layer of gun oil and sealed with wax, providing durability and a very smooth feel. The Ebony board features 22 precision-seated stainless steel frets that provide a crisp, bright attack and far outlast standard nickel alloy frets. Glow-in-the-dark cheats are great for dark stages, and gold dot inlays complement the molten gold finish.
This sans pickguard edition features a standard Stingray Humbucker with Neodymium magnets, with a powerful 18-volt preamp, and 3-band EQ.

Additional appointments include a Commemorative 50th Anniversary silkscreen logo on the back of the headstock, Deluxe hardshell case, and Certificate of Authenticity.
