Traditionally, it converts high-impedance, unbalanced line signals (such as guitar, bass keyboards, and more) into low-impedance signals compatible with recording and live sound consoles. In addition to its efficient low-noise operation and generous 8-channel capability, the DI800’s active circuitry design offers far greater flexibility, ability, and connectivity potential than a standard passive DI. Servo-balanced performance delivers ultra-flat, faithful frequency reproduction, while Gold-plated XLR connectors and ground lift switch ensure high-integrity, low-noise performance.

Thanks to a pair of switchable -20 dB attenuators per channel, each active DI can directly cover signals up to 3,000 watts from a speaker output-- or boost low-power signals with the 20dB boost. Optional phantom power is available on each channel for added versatility. The DI800 internal power story can overcome voltage fluctuations common in many live venues and adapt to universal power sources from 100-240 volts. In addition to the already long list of features, a high-quality buffer preserves signal integrity and delivers optimally balanced, 600-ohm low-impedance output.
