Behringer MX882 V2 Ultra-Flexible 8-Channel Splitter/Mixer
The Behringer MX882 8-channel splitter/mixer is a high-value, low-cost, and highly flexible signal-routing problem solver. Perfect for live sound and studio applications, it allows you to send and receive audio signals in any way that suits your needs. In splitter mode, you can simultaneously send stereo signals to multiple outputs, combine multiple mono signals to a stereo output, match signal levels, and more.
The MX882 has 6 mono channels that can be operated independently in splitter or mixer mode. Each channel has dedicated inputs and outputs (1-4 use XLR, 5-6 utilize ¼”), individual level and balance (pan) controls, plus a mix or split mode selector switch. A master control section with two XLR inputs regulates the mixed and split signal levels. Each channel and the master input/output control section feature an 8-segment LED meter for properly setting and taming each audio source.
Using the XLR inputs of the main input section, a stereo source can be routed to any mono output channel set for split mode. The pan control can then custom-tailor how much left or right signal is routed to the chosen mono output. Conversely, in mix mode, any of the 6 mono inputs can be sent to the stereo master output. The balance/pan controls can then determine the signal’s placement within the stereo image. Additionally, each mono input is still sent to its dedicated output for use as a level matcher, line driver, or DI box. The MX882 V2 excels as a Keyboard/Synth or Drumset sub-mixer, PA system signal distributor, pre-recorded audio routing, and almost anything you’ll likely encounter on the stage or in the studio.
