Behringer DI4000 V2 4-Channel Rackmount Active DI-Box
The Direct Box is the “standard” way to make high-impedance, unbalanced line signals (like guitar, bass, or keyboard) compatible with recording and live sound consoles. An age-old and essential part of any pro-audio engineer's toolbox, the DI Box is effective, practical, and simple enough--until things get more complex, and they nearly always do. That’s where the Behringer DI4000 shines. For less money than most single-channel DI boxes, the D4000 V2 has enough channels to connect up to 4-instruments at once, and there is a lot more.
Thanks to a pair of switchable -20 dB attenuators per channel, each active DI can cover signals up to 3,000 watts directly from a speaker output or boost weak, low-power signals 20dB to solid, balanced XLR outs. The internal power story can also overcome voltage fluctuations common in many live venues and adapt to worldwide variances from 100-240 volts. Each channel is fitted with gold-plated XLR connectors and features a ground lift and reverse phase switch for noise-free performance and optimal signal alignment. It also has a high-cut filter in the 8k range that’s great for use with guitars. On top of the already long list of features, a high-quality buffer preserves signal integrity and delivers optimally balanced, 600-ohm low impedance output.
